The SHEA Gas Passport (Safety, Health and Environmental Awareness) is a standardised programme that provides a consistent level of safety and environmental awareness training across the utility industries. Once completed, you’ll be issued with a SHEA Gas card that’s affiliated with CSCS and recognised across the gas industry and wider utilities sector.
This gas safety passport course is approved by the Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR) and meets the expectations of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Our EUSR SHEA Gas course is available delivered online in a live virtual classroom or as face-to-face training at our Manchester centre. We also offer on-site delivery for employers across the utilities sector. It helps individuals identify, mitigate for and minimise occupational health hazards in the workplace. |
6 | Responding to emergencies | Develops individuals’ understanding of emergency response behaviours, the role of reporting, inspection, and enforcement of health & safety in the workplace. It also develops an individual’s understanding of the impact on employee and employer of both poor/improving health and safety in the workplace. |
14 | Highway working and excavations (Gas) | Understanding of the processes and procedures required to work in the highway; this includes both public and private environments and creating a safe working environment through the application of safe systems of work in order to avoid other utility services. The individual will also know what to do in the case of an emergency. |
15 | Pressure regulating installations | Understanding of the journey gas makes from beach to meter and the types of risks associated with pressure regulating gas installations. |
16 | Safety in premises | Understanding of the requirements to working safely in domestic and commercial premises. It also examines how to communicate effectively with customers. |
