The Hot Work Training course is designed to help the user understand the common kinds of hot work, the hazards associated with it, and the responsibilities of employees who perform hot work, as well as the responsibilities of their employer.
Hot work is “any activity or process that generates flame, heat, or an incendiary spark, and introduces (or presents) a foreseeable risk of fire or explosion through a source of ignition by means of tools or equipment.” – GOV.UK
This is a classroom-based course and is delivered on request so please contact us to arrange a suitable date. Can be delivered at our venue in Manchester or onsite anywhere in the UK.

In fact, it’s actually one of the biggest fire risks that employers, employees and property owners can face. Over the course of the last decade, hot work fires have resulted in an estimated £68 million worth of losses in the UK.
The Hot Work course examines the different types of hot work, and the risks associated with them. It also explains the legal duties on employers and duty holders, and the responsibilities employees have to ensure their safety and the safety of others. The course also discusses the steps involved in a suitable and sufficient risk assessment and the common control measures that may be used to control the risks associated with work activities.

In the first instance you need to contact the team. Depending on when your course is booked for there may be a cancellation fee. If you are due a refund money will be transferred back to you via the original method of payment.
Please get in touch and if we have availability on your preferred date, we can arrange that. There will be an amendment fee £50.
