Health and safety training courses from Jason Rowley Ltd give you and your team the knowledge, skills, and confidence to work safely, responsibly, and in line with UK legislation. We deliver practical, industry-led training courses in health and safety for the utilities sector and beyond, supporting safer workplaces and stronger compliance.
With over 30 years of experience, we work with businesses across gas, power, telecommunications, water, construction, and related sectors. Our programmes cover essential health and safety requirements for new starters, experienced employees, supervisors, and directors, helping organisations reduce risks, prevent accidents, and create healthier working environments.
Our health and safety training UK solutions are available through online health and safety training courses, face-to-face training, and virtual classroom delivery, ensuring flexibility without compromising quality.
Effective health and safety training is a crucial part of managing workplace risk. It supports organisations in meeting legal responsibilities while protecting employees, contractors, and members of the public from harm.
Well-structured safety training courses help teams understand how accidents occur, how risks can be identified, and how prevention measures should be applied in real working environments. From manual handling and asbestos awareness to display screen equipment and first aid, our courses focus on practical understanding rather than theory alone.
Health and safety training also plays an important role in supporting managers and supervisors, giving them insight into responsibilities, legislation, and the importance of proactive risk assessments across day-to-day operations.
Our SHEA training courses (Safety, Health & Environmental Awareness) are designed for workers who require access to operational sites in the gas, power, telecoms, water, and waste industries. Each programme includes core modules covering workplace safety, environmental awareness, and industry-specific risks.
We deliver:
Successful completion provides an EUSR SHEA card (virtual and physical) recognised across CSCS-controlled operational sites.
Our Safe Control of Operations (SCO) training ensures engineers and supervisors in the gas distribution networks follow correct procedures, permits, and risk assessments. These health safety training courses are essential for Authorising Engineers and Competent Persons who must demonstrate compliance with GL/6 guidance and safety executive guidelines.
The SCO training programme includes:
By completing these modules, candidates gain the technical competence and awareness required to carry out work on the gas networks safely.
Our first aid and AED training is available as both one-day courses and three-day workplace training programmes, tailored to the needs of your business. These courses ensure that employees can respond effectively in emergencies, whether dealing with minor injuries or life-threatening incidents such as cardiac arrest.
Training includes:
Each course combines practical skills with theory, and on successful completion, delegates receive an aid certificate accredited by recognised authorities.
We also deliver specialist safety training courses across a wide range of key areas:
